The latest software update OS 5.1 beta has disabled home screen shortcut but still you can create shortcuts on your home screen with the help of new method iPhone Settings Shortcuts discovered by iOS developer Jeff Broderick. The method does not require any jailbreak, easy to apply and most important, its absolutely FREE. Check the steps in just a short while.
Prior to the iOS 5.1 beta release, “Icon Project tool” allowed creating shortcuts for setting like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Airplane Mode, and Brightness control on your home screen and it required the app to be purchased for $ 0.99.
The alternate free hack is not a app to be downloaded from app store, instead it is a webapp and uses “URL scheming” enabling web apps to gain access to certain parts of the iPhone’s operating system. Just follow the steps below to create own iPhone Settings Shortcuts.
